Themes

TermZ ships built-in light and dark themes, and a theme editor for building your own. Whatever theme is active, everything retints together — the app chrome and the terminal — so there’s never a mismatched surface.

Settings → Appearance & Display picks the active theme from a dropdown. Customize themes… just below it opens the theme editor, where a theme is a set of ~60 tokens: UI surfaces, text, accent, status colors, the full 16-color ANSI palette, keyword-highlight colors, and effects.

  • Keyword highlighting — colorize matching text in the terminal, theme-aware so it stays legible across palettes.
  • Import & export themes — back up or share a custom theme (and its highlighting) as a JSON bundle.
