Your first connection

Getting connected takes under a minute.

  1. Open a new session — the terminal icon in the activity rail, or /Ctrl+KNew session.
  2. Pick SSH, enter the host and username, and choose an auth method: a password, a key file, or a saved credential.
  3. On first connect to a new host, TermZ asks you to trust its host key — the trust-on-first-use prompt. Confirm the fingerprint, accept, and you’re in. See Host-key pinning for how this protects later connections.
  4. Save the session so it’s one click next time — see Create a session.
